Chemical Peels
Dr. Miller uses the technique of chemical peeling to improve the appearance of her patients by rejuvenating the skin and slowing the effects of the aging process. A chemical solution is applied that causes the top layers of the skin to separate and peel off. This exfoliation allows new skin to regenerate that is smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. In some cases, chemical peeling may result in a more even coloration of the skin.
Chemical peels are used to treat fine lines and wrinkles associated with sun damage and aging. However, sags, bulges, and more severe wrinkles do not respond to chemical peeling and may require other kinds of cosmetic surgical procedures. Dr. Miller can help determine which treatment is most appropriate for your skin.
